Mahi Pono, the farming venture that bought 41,000 acres of former sugar cane land in Central Maui from Alexander & Baldwin for $262 million last year, plans to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables — from avocados to potatoes — on the first 1,500 to 2,000 acres of land.
